What I think about the past week in the NBA

Sorry folks I haven't updated the blog in a while. Life had other plans for  me. Anyhway recently a TON of stuff has happened so I'm gonna give you the rundown

Short Sleeved All-Star Jerseys?

Today the All-Star Jerseys were revealed, and in the interest of the common fan not looking like a goon while wearing it. I actually like the stylistic choice, and think that I would actually show my face in public wearing them.

THE ONLY THREE TEAM TRADE THAT WILL HAPPEN THIS YEAR

It's not even a major trade! Jordan Crawford and Marshon Brooks, Toney Douglas to the Heat and Joel Anthony A lottery protected 1st rounder via the Sixers and a second rounder to the Celtics.

Hedo Turkoglu IS in fact signed to a FULL CONTRACt

The Clippers have a chance to win the first Title, so to push them over the hump, they signed Hedo. Now is it a GODAWFUL idea, or is it a GODAWFUL idea? It just makes no sense to outright sign a guy who hasn`t played this year.

That is all, please follw da blog, and remember to

NBA All Overhyped Team

This happens alot. A guy plays well, has 1 good game, and boom! he`s a superstar. However these are the definitive all Overhyped Team Member

Center: Deandre Jordan LAC

Deandre Jordan did not have a Dominant game, Just a Poster dunk. He is just athletic, no skill. That is why he is our anchor

Power Forward: Amaré Stoudamire NYK

Apparently he is STILL worth a max contract according to Jimmy D. This guy was NOT worth it in 2010, and is not worth it now!

Small Forward: Paul George IND

Not to pick on George, but being the best player on The Pacers is NOT ENOUGH TO BE BETTER THAN KD!!! He cannot takeover games a major drawback. He will only carry The Pacers so far before he is unable. Mark my words.

Shooting Guard: Kobe Bryant LAL

A year ago Kobe would not be here, he was in the middle of a Renaissance. Just as dominant as ever.. What a difference a year make. Now he`s played 6 games, sucked in each of them, and leads the west frontcourt in All-Star Votes. That IS overhype

Point Guard: Kyrie Irving CLE

Overhype is the definition of Kyrie Irving. He played 11 games in college, 11 GAMES, and was the number 1 pick!!! Then he was an effective Volume scorer in his rookie year AND WON ROOKIE OF THE YEAR. Another effective-ish year and HE IS AN ALL-STAR!!! He shoots poorly and cannot pass. He is apparently the savior who will lead the Cavs to Lebron. Yeah right. That is why he rounds out my All Overhyped team.

Please leave your own All-Overhyped team in the comments below, if I do not start getting comments soon, I will reduce my output. Peace, and remember, people in High Heels trip out over you. :P

NBA: How I See the First 14 picks this year going down Part 2

Welcome to Part Two of my lottery, where my (Len) Biased opinions are expressed. Let's get Jiggy Wit it

Number 8:  Noah Vonleh: 6'10 Indiana

Noah Vonleh is Victor Oladipo 6'10. To reiterate, a high energy guy who may end up being a superstar. His ceiling is identical to Randle's. The big difference, Randle will almost undoubtedly reach his ceiling, while Vonleh will be stuck in between.

Number 9: Rodney Hood: 6'8 Duke

Hood is immensely skilled, and would start for pretty much every team in the country. He is Caron Butler, but much better in Ceiling, Rickey Davis in basement. Pray he's more Butler than Davis!!!

Number 10: James Young: 6'8 Kentucky

James Young will be in the future second tier of SF's. He will be athletic enough to challenge opponents, and probably be an excellent Westbrook to someone's Durant. His ceiling is \Paul Geroge-ish, Not close to the best SF, but a tier under.

Number 11: Willie Cauley-Stein: 6'11 Kentucky

Cauley-Stein is an athletic big man who can block shots. That is a lost art in today's league, so he's a lottery pick.

Number 12: Adriean Payne: 6'9 MSU

Payne is hard to classify. He will end up a tweener at worst, Kevin Love at best. 'Nuff said

Number 13: Zack Lavine: 6'4 UCLA

Lavine is going to be a modern day point guard. A midget shooting. Poor man's D-Rose at best, rich Man's Jerryd Bayless at worst.

Number 14: Tyler Ennis: 6'0 Syracuse

Doesn't this seem like Trey Burke? An undersized floor general who can score. Trey's Ceiling at best Nate Robinson at worst!

Please follow Da BLog, and Post yer own top 14's dawg. Till the nest post, keep watching the snow melt at how good you look. Peace :P

NBA: How I See the First 14 picks this year going down Part 1

Let me explain, I'm not a certified "Expert" but I pay attention to what's going on for this years class. Now this is more of a personal ranking system, as in this is my opinion. Anyway, let's get this show on the road.

Number 1: Joel Embiid: 7'0 Kansas

Mark my words when I say that Embiid might be the most promising prospect in the field. His ceiling is Hakeem, and his basement is Roy Hibbert (In my opinion the Best Center in the league by virtue of his team's status). Anyway you look at it, that is very impressive.

Number 2: Jabari Parker: 6'8 Duke

You know what I just said about Embiid? That is very similar to Parker, who's basement is The Truth, and Ceiling is Bernard King. No matter what, he's gonna have multiple All-Star appearances.

Number 3: Andrew Wiggins: 6'8 Kansas

My fellow countryman, how it pains me to put you this low. He has a Lebron/Jordan/Kobe Ceiling, and his basement is at least Luol Deng caliber. He is a high Value Pick Everywhere on the board.

Number 4: Julius Randle 6'9 Kentucky

Whoever lands Randle will be very lucky. They Get a Larry Johnson-Tim Duncan Ceiling. And a Premier Power Forward Talent Basement. High Motor, Good Defense, and Enough Athleticism to get noticed in HS, He is an Excellent Value at number 4

Number 5: Marcus Smart: 6'4 OK State

Marcus Smart looks to be a durable, high quality floor general with high character. I think he's a CP3-Tony Parker type, not the most athletic, yet he remains a dominant player who out powers his opponents.

Number 6: Dante Exum: 6'6 Australia

This is no knock on Exum's abilities, but he's 6'6 and skinny and athletic. 6'3 Thick and athletic wasn't enough to keep Rose Healthy. So you're telling me someone with pretty much his skillset, but taller and skinnier is gonna be durable? I didn't think so

 Number 7: Aaron Gordon

Aaron Gordon is the final part of the first half of my list. He's essentially Blake Griffin reborn, Not A bad thing at all. At worst, He's Z-Bo, still excellent, just takes a while to find his strong suite.

Okay, Guys Part 2 will be up soon, till then peace I'm out. (Feel Free to comment with your own top 7's this year, and follow my blog) :P

NBA: Why LeBron Fouled out.

Lebron James just ended a streak of 6 years without a foul out, here's why.

Recent Loss
The Heat had just lost against the Knicks (Also playing poorly) So Lebron felt he had to take over the game, or else they would lose. Part of that was physical defense.
Injury
D-Wade has been out, leaving LeBron and Bosh to figure out what to do. Lebron has even more pressure to be the World's best baller.
Perhaps poor officiating had something to do with it. But who really knows. In like 10-20 years when kids hear about this game, this is one we will kindly let be forgotten.

NBA: Should Kobe be Shut Down for the Season?

Kobe's only played like 6 games, yet he leads All Star backcourt votes, and is coming back on the 28th. However he's suffered from two major injuries already this year, yet out of some weird pride thing, he continues to chug along.

Benefits to Lakers Future
First off, the Lakers are on the Tanking road. They can probably drop into the top 6 in the draft, meaning they land essentially a number 1 pick. If Kobe comes back they will be stuck in no man's land. If he stays out, when he comes back next year he will have a promising young star to work with.

Benefits to Kobe
Kobe is really pushing a speedy recovery that may be hazardous to his life after basketball, is 20-30 games really worth long term repercussions? Look at Charles Barkley, is that worth it?

Benefits to The Fans
One thing about legends is they stick on to another a year before retirement to win a title. Kobe will be Hakeem with the Raptors, Malone and Payton with the Lakers, and Jordan with the Wizards. In other words, spoiling the current generation's view of an all-time great. This season is like that, Kobe's worn out, and if he came back this season, he wouldn't be the same. Give him the rest of the season off, and he'll look more like who he should be remembered as, one of the all-time greats

NBA: My Opinion of Anything and Everything Basketball

Hello people! In the abut half hour since I started my blog, I'm already on my second post. Here's how this will work: Whenever a new opinion pops into my head, then I will write up a new post. Anyway, here's the opinions I have.
1. The Nets Recent tear was only a small matter of time before it happened. I mean Brook Lopez, KG, The Truth, JJ, and D-Will and they SUCK!? How can that happen with 2 future Hall of Famers? The only problem is that KG will be tuckered out in the playoffs. Time for D-Will to earn his keep.

2. WOO-HOO MY RAPTORS DON`T SUCK!!! Living North of the border, it`s hard to see the ONLY TEAM IN THE COUNTRY suck! We look like we can make some noise in the Playoffs, and Masai Ujiri is probably smiling, and shopping our players.

3. The sheer abundance of Star Players injured is astounding. This can mean one thing, the NBA has officially become dangerous for your health. Russell Westbrook,CP3,D-Rose, and Bledsoe headline the injured point guards, Kobe is the shooting guard, Danilo Galinari, Al Horford, and Marc Gasol Fill out the frontcourt. Sad part, that team would be easily the best in the NBA.

That's all folks, feel free to comment, and follow my blog.

In The Beginning

In the beginning, there was nothing, but a ham and cheese sandwich! :D Welcome to the Ramblings, where I talk about whatever's on my mind. In the future, my posts will be separated into a few categories. These are NBA, Video Games, Pop Culture, and Life.

When You read other information, sometimes you end up wondering if they know what it's like to live in a life going to school, and finding clever puns. (By The Way, I just kicked the Earth's grass! Get it? Gr-A$$) That is what this blog's for, anyway, see ya!
